DIRECTOR’S STATEMENT

“Cut Out” was based on my personal experiences living as a young adult in Chicago neighborhoods, where I experienced a lot of street violence. This film is very important to me since the violence in the Chicago streets has not improved and in fact has increased over the years, particularly in regards to gang-related violence and deaths. Good kids and innocent lives are lost to gangs and this film tells one such story.
